DR JOHN GRAY
LLB, M.Com.Law (Hons), Ph.D Consultant John has been in practice since 1968. He completed his Ph.D in 2002 after writing a Thesis on Law in relation to the Marine Environment. As his client base is so diverse, he practises in many areas of the law including trusts, wills and estates, family protection claims, employment issues, relationship property, business and commercial law, commercial property, and debt recovery. John practised in South Auckland for many years before moving to Warkworth in 1994. HUGH GLADWELL
BA, LLB Consultant Hugh joined the Warkworth office in January 2015. Hugh has 36 years’ experience in law and has lived in the Warkworth area for many years. He has practiced extensively in property matters and has handled many property disputes, including relationship property, trusts and estate claims. He brings to the practice a wealth of experience in residential, commercial and farming transactions. Hugh has been involved in assisting many community organisations over the years and is a trustee of the Jane Gifford Restoration Trust. When not in the office Hugh enjoys sailing and skiing. MATTHEW GALLAGHER
LLB Senior Associate Matthew joined Insight Legal in January 2016 as Senior Associate. He has been in practice since 2002, having previously worked for a large national law firm and a statutory trustee company. MELISSA CRAWFORD
LLB (Hons), BCom. Senior Associate Melissa joined the Warkworth office in May 2018 as Senior Associate. Prior to joining Insight Legal Melissa practiced as a lawyer, focusing on dispute resolution, and worked as a diplomat for New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Melissa works predominantly on dispute resolution, including relationship property, trusts, and estate claims. Melissa also provides advice on trusts, wills and enduring powers of attorney. FLORA BURNS
Conveyancing Practitioner & Registered Legal Executive Flora joined the firm in 2004. Flora works in the areas of residential and commercial conveyancing, refinancing, subdivisions, wills, estates and trusts. Flora is a Registered Legal Executive (Fellow) with the New Zealand Institute of Legal Executives and in September 2012 she obtained an equivalency registration based on her legal experience to become a Conveyancing Practitioner. Flora is a people person and goes the extra mile to ensure that her client’s transactions are completed as smoothly and expertly as possible. When not at work Flora’s interests are working around her mini-farm and looking after her various animals. ROBYN CURRIE
Senior Legal Executive Robyn joined our Warkworth office in January 2015 and brings with her a wealth of experience having worked in many areas of law over the past 30 years including the film industry, banking, corporate administration and private law practice. Robyn comes from a farming background in the Waikato and attended Waikato University Law School completing a number of papers before moving to Auckland and returning to the workforce. RACHEL EVANSON
Registered Legal Executive Based in our Takanini office, Rachel joined the firm in August 2015 and her main areas of work are conveyancing, refinancing, Kiwisaver first home buyers, unit titles and off the plan purchases. Rachel started in law as a receptionist back in 2003 and moved up the ladder over the years before she completed her studies in 2013 for her Diploma part time by correspondence with Open Polytechnic, whilst working full time in conveyancing. CYNTHIA FLETCHER
Registered Legal Executive Cynthia joined our Warkworth office as receptionist in 2001. She was later promoted to personal assistant to John Gray where she enjoyed assisting John in the Family and Litigation fields. In 2008 Cyn qualified as a Legal Executive and is more currently providing personal assistant support to our senior solicitor as well as exercising her skills in conveyancing. HAYLEY CHALMERS
Legal Executive Hayley joined the Takanini office in 2014 with nearly 20 years’ experience working in law. Hayley began her career as a legal secretary in 1995 with a local Papakura law firm. In 2002 she accepted a position as a Legal Executive with a central Auckland firm, obtaining her Legal Executive certificate in 2006. Hayley has experience in the areas of residential and commercial conveyancing, refinancing, wills, estates and trusts.
